Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actress and singer whose acting variety earned her acclaim in a variety of genres ranging from period drama to action and thriller. Johansson daughter of an architect and a producer was brought up as a child in New York City. Hunter, her twin brother, and she were the youngest of four kids. From a young age she began to develop a passion for acting and began performing in commercials by the age seven. She was enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly following and then went to the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to further her education. Johansson was next seen as a character in Just Cause (1995), before making her big break by starring in Manny & Lo - a story of two sisters and orphans, who manage to get away.
